Every Blue Advantage (HMO) and Blue Advantage (PPO) plan includes generous Part D prescription drug coverage to help with the costs of your medications.

Members on HMO-POS and PPO plans can check multiple medications and estimate annual drug costs by using our Find & Price Prescription Drugs tool. The tool is not available for those on the Dual Plus (HMO-POS D-SNP) plan because of differences in cost share for those plans.

Blue Advantage members have options on where and how to get their medicines:

• Experience the safety and convenience of home delivery with Express Scripts Pharmacy^SM. Your prescriptions are mailed directly to your door and you pay nothing for standard shipping. Plus, you may save money!
• Find a local pharmacy in our broad retail network, including those that offer preferred cost-sharing. You may pay less when you choose a preferred retail pharmacy to fill your prescription!

It is important to remember that enrolling in a Blue Advantage Medicare Advantage plan does not affect Medicare coverage for any drugs that may be covered under Medicare Part A or Part B. If you meet Medicare coverage requirements, your drugs will still be covered under Medicare Part A or Part B even though you are enrolled in a Blue Advantage plan.

Express Scripts is an independent company that serves as the pharmacy benefit manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.

Blue Advantage members will get a personal prepaid Flex Card to help cover certain healthcare expenses such as:

• Prescription hearing aids
• Eyewear
• Over-the-counter items
• Healthy foods and utilities (for Dual Plus members)

Your Blue Advantage plan comes with both preventive and comprehensive dental services covered, in-network, at no cost to you.

• Preventive dental includes services such as exams, routine cleanings, bitewing X-rays and fluoride treatment
• Comprehensive dental includes basic and major dental services
  • Basic dental consists of services such as fillings and extractions
  • Major dental consists of services such as periodontal scaling, crowns, dentures, root canals and bridges

Your Blue Advantage plan comes with routine vision benefits with the freedom to choose from hundreds of participating providers and retailers. Your vision benefit covers one annual eye examination and includes an allowance on your Flex Card to pay for eyewear such as eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Your Blue Advantage plan comes with online medical and behavioral health visits through BlueCare, which lets you have visits from your computer, smartphone, tablet or any device with internet and a camera.

Blue Care medical visits have a $0 copay when you sign in as a Blue Advantage member and can be used 24/7 for minor, non-emergency illnesses such as fever, flu symptoms, cold or cough, and sinus infections.

With BlueCare for behavioral health, you can schedule a visit with a psychology or psychiatry provider for a $40 copay to discuss depression, grief, stress, life transitions and more.

You can also use BlueCare to get a prescription or to check in with a doctor if you need a follow-up visit.

FitOn Health gives members access to the best digital fitness & wellness content, fitness studios, and gyms. This benefit is provided for Blue Advantage members at no additional cost. You will be able to continue your current fitness routine while having access to a variety of new activities.

At the beginning of each month, credits are added to your FitOn Health account. You can use your credits at any fitness experience in our network.

Included with your FitOn Health account is unlimited access to a digital platform including fitness & wellness classes, personalized programs, meal plans with recipes, challenges and expert-led health courses.

With our Healthy Rewards Program, members can earn rewards on their Flex Cards for completing eligible health actions, including their annual wellness visit and flu shot.
